Within NWACA boundaries, Far West, from Mo-Pac to just past Chimney Corners, as well as the intersection of Mesa and Spicewood Springs, have been included in the City of Austin Vertical Mixed Use Overlay District, VMU-OD, as a "Future Core Transit Corridors". The COA has provided a 90-day opt-in/opt-out window, beginning on March 5th, 2007, and ending on June 4th, 2007.
